2023 Louisiana Travel Jambalaya Tour

In March and April 2023, I'm embarking on an epic road trip across the eastern United States. A large part of this road trip will be dedicated to cooking one of Louisiana's favorite cultural dishes, jambalaya, at a series of farmers markets, breweries, and other collaborations. I’ll nourish souls, feed hungry bellies, and celebrate Louisiana culture. At each stop on the tour I'll cook a massive cauldron of jambalaya to feed around 100 people.

Jambalaya, made with pork, chicken, and smoked sausage, brought together with the Holy Trinity of Cajun cooking, and featuring Louisiana long grain rice, is perhaps the most quintessential dish that represents our capital city of Baton Rouge. From the United Way's Jambalaya Jam in downtown to the world famous Jambalaya Festival in Gonzales, we cook jambalaya at everything from church fundraisers to LSU tailgate parties.
