Podcasts

I have been the host and producer of my own radio shows and podcasts going back to 2011. While I’m not currently active on any of my own shows, I do make regular appearances on other podcasts such as The ABV Podcast. Hopefully I’ll be back to doing my own show again soon.

You can find my appearances as a guest on various other podcasts as part of my PRESS page.

Old Shows

Bite & Booze

In 2011, I began producing and hosting the Bite & Booze Radio Show, a weekend glance at the food and beverage scene on Talk 107.3 based on the success of my blog and social media. Through Bite & Booze, I won a Taste Award for the best food or drink radio broadcast in the country in 2014, and a Uniquely Louisiana award from the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters in 2015. I won Best of 225 Best Media Personality and Best Local Celebrity in 2016 and I won Best Podcast in 2017. In 2018 I earned Best Local Blogger. I also won the DIG BRAG (Baton Rouge Area’s Greatest) award for Greatest Radio Personality in 2017 and Greatest Local Celebrity in 2018. Check out the full list of awards and recognitions here.

The Night Shift

The Night Shift is a real play D&D Podcast featuring the best cast and the worst characters. An acclaimed young adult author, a radio DJ, a Food Network star, and an LSU football player get together to play Dungeons and Dragons.

I played a Human Barbarian from Down Under named Timbo Everdure, who is deathly afraid of fire. Head to The Night Shift to get all links to watch, listen, and follow!

The Jay Ducote Show

The Jay Ducote Show brought happy hour to the radio and live stream for over 3 years. Covering food, drink, culture, entertainment, and more, my producer/co-host, Chuck P, and I enjoyed spending the drive home with Baton Rouge! The show aired from 4-6pm Monday to Friday on Talk 107.3 from October 2019 through the end of 2022.

Raise a Glass

Raise a Glass aired on Baton Rouge Community Radio 96.9 FM WHYR and in podcast format for 2+ years during the early 2010s. Co-hosted by my brother Eric Ducote and buddy Jeremy Spikes, and produced by James Lawson, we spent an hour each week talking all about the history, traditions, culture, and stories behind alcoholic beverages. We also did plenty of tasting and on the air reviews plus guest appearances from people even more knowledgeable about the drinks than us.
