

















Backyard Brisket - 5/3/25 - Jay & Lynnae Smoke the Day
*Brisket must be picked up in Baton Rouge on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 11am to 1pm.
For the first time in 2025, I’m firing up my huge smoker for another round of Backyard Briskets! This time I’ll have Chef Lynnae Oxley (Chopped Champion, BBQ Pitmasters, Food Network’s BBQ Brawl) of Sugar’s BBQ helping me out and putting her signature twist on the briskets.
On Friday We'll fill the pit with 24 briskets, then after a full day and night of cooking, they’ll be ready to pickup between 11am to 1pm on Saturday. The address, located in Baton Rouge, will be emailed to people who have purchased a brisket by the end of the week.
Orders must be placed in advance. Once all the briskets are claimed, I’m sold out. There’s a large but limited capacity on the smoker (24 briskets)!
Briskets are Upper Choice to Prime Black Angus Beef, seasoned generously with my signature salt and pepper rub, then smoked over Louisiana pecan. Each brisket will clock in at around 13-16 lbs raw weight. When cooked, expect them to be around 7-9 lbs, and will be enough to feed 15-20 people full meals or get 40 or more people a solid taste. They’re great for the your weekend gatherings, meal prep and eating throughout the week, or for saving some in the freezer for later!
